Kiel (SID) - Holstein Kiel's new coach Marcel Rapp approaches his task with optimism. "The type of football at Holstein suits me," said the 42-year-old at his official presentation on Monday.

The coach, who most recently looked after the U19s at Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim, signed a contract with the second division club last week until June 30, 2024. Rapp's predecessor, Ole Werner, resigned on September 20.

After missing out on promotion to the Bundesliga in the relegation last season, the Schleswig-Holsteiners failed to start the new season. KSV Holstein is currently only 15th in the table after just two wins from nine games.
