Autumn and winter are the seasons of storms and snow. A satellite receiving system is exposed to the weather day in and day out and must therefore also withstand storms and snow deposits. Over the years, the ravages of time have also gnawed at the system. It is often the case that reception systems can be seen on or on houses that are either marked by the weather and rusted, or are now technically outdated. Faded or rotten satellite antennas can also visually devalue a newly renovated facade - a clear sign of a service or replacement.

Matthias Dienst, Chairman of the Management Board of AG SAT: “Sat antennas have to be checked or replaced not only with regard to the reception technology, but also with regard to safety. The weather in autumn and winter can be characterized by some, even very strong, gusts and storms. The bracket and all components of a satellite reception system are exposed to environmental influences day in and day out and must be able to withstand them safely.”

So it's time to thoroughly service the satellite system in spring and keep it fit or make it fit again. Is the mast still able to withstand the wind load, are all the fasteners still tight, is the mirror still correctly aligned, or does the LNB housing have cracks through which moisture can penetrate? These are just a few points that should be checked. A measurement of the output signal from the LNB provides information about the reception quality. Any interference caused by the mobile networks (LTE, 5G) can then also be eliminated in this work step.

The partner companies of AG SAT from trade and craft are the ideal and competent contacts for the planning and installation as well as the service for everything to do with the satellite reception system. With relatively little effort, the satellite reception system can be checked and, if necessary, repaired. A reception system that is also optically flawless can give the facade or the roof an additional new impetus and thus improve the overall appearance and maintain or increase the value.

Matthias Dienst also explains: “Regular maintenance and, if necessary, a technical upgrade are a matter of course for vehicles. The reception system on the roof is often forgotten. She too needs service from time to time. At the same time, the latest technical possibilities should also be discussed with the specialist in order to implement the best possible reception solution or extensions for the house or apartments.”

The partner companies of AG SAT work together with the customer to find the optimal reception solution and distribution technology and are able to create this professionally, taking into account all standards, regulations, safety and environmental aspects. The member companies of the AG SAT also support the installation companies with the planning and design of the reception systems if required.
